Job Description:

Overview: Webgility is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Architect to lead our infrastructure design and platform engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with C#, .NET Core, and AWS, and will be responsible for driving the technical direction and architecture of our platform. This role requires a deep understanding of infrastructure design, software development, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership:
   • Lead the design and implementation of scalable and robust infrastructure solutions.
   • Architect and develop high-performance platform components using C# and .NET Core.
   • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams.
   • Ensure best practices in software development, architecture, and infrastructure design are followed.
2. Infrastructure Design:
   • Design and implement infrastructure solutions that support high availability, scalability, and security.
   • Optimize existing infrastructure to improve performance and cost-efficiency.
   • Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate and streamline infrastructure operations.
3. Platform Engineering:
   • Lead the development of platform features and services.
   • Ensure the platform is scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
   • Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and technical assessments.
   • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform platform strategies.
4. AWS Cloud Management:
   • Design and manage AWS infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and cost management.
   • Implement and maintain AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and others.
   • Ensure compliance with security best practices and standards.
5. Collaboration & Communication:
   • Work closely with product management, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and solutions.
   • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams.
   • Present technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
6. Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
   • Drive innovation by identifying and implementing new technologies and methodologies.
   • Continuously improve the development process and infrastructure management practices.
   • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the engineering teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and platform development and 5+ years as an Architect.
• Extensive experience with C#, .NET Core, and AWS.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions.
• Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and cloud technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
