We are seeking a strong & seasoned Senior Accountant to own all general accounting activities. The Senior Accountant will manage all aspects of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts with a strong focus on A/R and revenue recognition functions, enhance accounting processes and controls, make recommendations, assist with implementation, and support the annual financial statement and bank audits.

This is a high-visibility role focusing on data integrity and ensuring flawless attention to detail and proactive communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognize & record revenue and capitalize costs associated with ASC 606 & ASC 340
  • Manage entire customer billing process from invoicing and collections to accounting for revenue
  • Assist in period-end financial statement and tax support preparation
  • Maintain general ledger accounts by verifying, resolving discrepancies, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions
  • Manage employee expense reports and approve based on company policies
  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense related entries by compiling and analyzing account information
  • Prepare period over period variance analyses with fluctuation explanations
  • Conduct research, analysis and prepare ad hoc reports, as needed
  • Respond to inquiries and work with customers ensuring outstanding service and experience
  • Assist in accounts payable maintenance using Ramp, including managing purchase requests, bills, payments and analyzing expenses to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Special projects and opportunities as needed

​QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in accounting or related discipline
  • Public accounting experience or Public Company experience required; CPA a plus
  • 3-5 years of progressively more responsible accounting experience that includes month-end close and financial preparation preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Accounting system implementation experience
  • ASC 606 & ASC 340
  • Thorough understanding of the basic principles of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting theory, especially SaaS/subscription revenue recognition
  • Proficient in Netsuite, Workday and Ramp and knowledge of other financial software programs
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including advanced Excel (e.g., Sumifs, Vlookups, Pivot tables)
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality
  • Stellar communicator, proactive, resourceful, independent, and can wear multiple hats
  • Keen analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Collaborator with ability to work cross-functionally within the organization
  • Independent contributor with a track record of ownership of responsibilities
